View Full Version : Any Ideas about these symptoms?
Extreme tiredness (even after getting 9 hrs of sleep nightly)
Sore throat
Pale mucousy stools (sorry)
Extreme thirst
Frequent urination
Slight weight loss
In the Summer I was getting very itchy legs (I don't know if it's connected)
Any ideas?
I do have a doctor's app. & no it has nothing to do with a raw diet as I am only about 25% raw right now.

Anything with stool that is pale has to do with some disfunction of the pancreas.
I am not a doctor.
Good idea, to consult, so at least you know what you have.
I wish you all the best!

Thirst, frequent urination and weight loss makes me think diabetes.
Thank you both very much. i've been searching the internet trying to find out what it could mean and it's difficult to pinpoint exactly. I'm not sure if it's serious or not. I did investigate pancreatic problems (not diabetes though) and it's come down to possibly being that or celiac disease or liver problems. Thanks for the input!
I wonder if it has anything to do with a drastic change in diet just recently. Do you think pale poo could be caused from that?

hepatitis
pancreas live issues
detox related to sadfooditus
anemia
B vit deficiency
autoimmune issue
I went in and had my blood drawn. They are checking liver, bladder, vitamin D and thyroid. I should get results soon and will post it here. Thanks again for the replies.
The doctor thinks it may just be a virus. I guess the pale stools were very alarming to me, but not to her as much. I've never experienced that with any virus before.
Ahh thanks for pointing out anemia, I didn't think of that. I will load up on more iron foods (& vitamin C) and take my B12 vitamin. It couldn't be SAD detox, as i've never eaten a SAD diet ever in my life.

Look up acholic (not alcoholic) stool. It can be a sign that bile is not reaching the intestines.
just got blood test results and everything is fine except for vitamin D. I am very low at 13. One should have 30. They put me on 50,000 IU's once a week for 6 wks.
I'm surprised i'm low because I was supplementing 1,000 IU's a few times a week.

Basically, good news.
So, does the body just not absorb D that well?

I guess most people are either not getting enough vitamin D from sun and food, and/or the body doesn't absorb it well for various reasons. I have decided not to take the 50,000 iu of D from the doctor. I've researched it quite a bit, and think that this is an excessive amount to take on one day and I would rather spread it out. I know I am deficient so I am a special case, but I'm thinking I'm going to take 5,000 iu a day for about a month (bought a quality D from the health food store) and then get my levels checked again.
Thanks everyone! I hope I can be a reminder to others about the importance of vitamin D, and how easy it is to be deficient.

Here is just another opinion if you want one. It's my understanding you can easily and safely take up to 20,000 iu/day on a regular basis. You might look at some of Dr. Mayer Eisenstein's videos. He is from Home First. I remember in one of them he mentions questioning other physicians at a conference and said some of them were taking doing maintenance of 20k/day themselves. On his site he suggests 1k i.u. per pound of body weight a day in the event of a flu or cold at it's onset, and continue for seven days. (100 lbs/100,000 i.u./day for a week). Because of that I myself wouldn't have a problem with taking 50k once a week or even daily when sick. Of course I have not tried it to see if it agrees with me. I;ve gone up to about 20k day at times and felt no ill effect.
I do think smaller regular doses might be better for you, but still feel you could safely take a larger daily dose than the 5k and benefit from it.
Best wishes to you.
