I have a very large basil plant and I was wondering if anyone has any recipes with basil?

tomato, basil, a touch of salt, pepper, and olive oil, and a *tiny* bit of diced onions. let them all hang out together in the fridge overnight and you'll have a GORGOUS salad the next day. serve over greens, on flax crackers (like bruchetta!), or all on its own.
i love pesto too. usually i make mine with almonds and add some mellow chickpea miso and nutritional yeast for that "cheesy" taste.

It ain't pesto without lots of fresh garlic! ;) Pine nuts are so expensive, I sub almonds, walnuts, or macadamias, or a combo. Alissa'a pesto recipe used for her stuffed mushrooms is the best!
I just finished a batch. I ate pesto on crackers for a couple days, then put the leftover pesto in the blender with "sour cream" made from macadamias (cashews would work. too). olive oil. lemon juice, water, and sea salt. It made a delicious salad dressing that was a big hit at the raw potluck.
Pesto keeps well in small containers in the freezer.

You already have fantastic suggestion.
If you want a little more, remember that you can add basil in all recipe as well. Sauce, soupe, pate, salad dressing, any salad etc...
The pesto basil is divine
Love the suggestion with the strawberry, never thought to try this, lol....
