I'm wondering what canned or jarred olives are raw? Any brand names to look for? I've noticed some come cured with only water, some with salt and water, some with Ferrous gluconate.
I'm craving fats and salts. What should I do? I really want to eat easily digestible fats such as olives...
Also, I'm ready to get more extra virgin olive oil, but want to make sure I get raw, not cooked somehow.
Thanks

anything canned is heated and therefore not raw.

Naturalzing.com is a raw foods website where you can buy raw olives that are really raw. I just purchased 2 jars myself recently.

I use a variety, Natural Zing, Raw Earth Organics, Sunfood Nutrition, Olivico.
My favorite is the Pitted Sicilian Green Olives from Raw Earth Organics. Big and juicy, smooth and silky. Next favorite is Kalamata from Sunfood.

Whole foods carries a whole line of bulk olives that re not pasteurized or cooked and are sold to them in large buckets that have to be refrigerated. They told me that that the mfgr says that those are raw. Think the brand is barnier.
They are truly delicious!
