I need help! I have been on amoxicillin, clindamyacin, ibuprofen, and vicodin since July for recurrent teeth infections! I have had two teeth pulled and a root canal for a nerve that had actually died and was rotting inside my tooth (can you say excruciating!!!!!). Can you imagine how nasty that is to have an infected mouth? I didn't even want to talk to anyone! GROSS!!!!

Anyway, I am finaly back to 100% I have finished all my meds my teeth are in good shape again and I am back to my pre-infection baseline thank GOD!!! But, I feel so toxic now and I want to detox. My problem is that I am not sure what I need to do. I was thinking about signing up for a series of colonics because I have never had them before and I think that they would help. However right now, a series of them is not in my budget! What I want mostly is to get all the left over toxic nastiness out of me from all those pharmaceuticals and to clear up any left over junk from essentially having an infection in my mouth for most of this year!

Does anyone have any homeopathic/holisitc suggestions as to a cleanse that I can do. For me I think it would be optimal to keep the detox between 3-7 days as my work schedule keeps me busy a lot and I can't afford to be running back and forth to the bathroom all day. lol Any advice or suggestions will be greatly appreciated! Just a heads up though, I'm NOT doing the master cleanse. Been there done that and WON'T be going back again! Thanks

you can try going somewhere for an ionic cleanse. you could probably google a place close to you that has it. I work for a chiropractor and we have an ionic cleanse machine. it draws toxins out of your feet. i had it done two weeks ago!

I have been trying to detox for a while now. It is a slow process if you are older because you may have a lot of toxins to get rid of. Not only do you need to look at what you eat but also what you put on your skin and what you have in your environment.

Here are several books I've found very helpful. Many I've read are simply fluff type books but these 3 are indepth and have science behind them:

The 4-week ultimate body detox plan : a program for greater energy, health, and vitality
by Cook, Michelle Schoffro

The detox solution : the missing link to radiant health, abundant energy, ideal weight, and peace of mind
by Fitzgerald, Patricia

The detox miracle sourcebook : raw foods and herbs for complete cellular regeneration
by Morse, Robert

in my opinion, the best thing to do, and the one that works for most people in regards to sufficient cleansing and re-balancing, is to do a juice fast.

If this is not possible (do to a lack of juicer or not enough patience)

Do a smoothie fast. Let your body rest a bit, and eat things that are EASIEST to digest.

These things are FRUIT (first and foremost) and tender greens.

Cut out the nuts, cut out the oils, cut out anything dried or condensed or superfied, and just eat an easy diet of fruits and soft greens, and even blend them up as a way of PRE-digesting (however, don't forget to swish that smoothie around your mouth so it mingles with your saliva)

if you let your body rest, it will dedicate more time to healing. if you keep up with fruits and veggies, you will get the nutrient and sugar intake needed for energy and cellular regeneration and upkeep.

good luck and im sorry to hear about your toxicity.
