Hi Everyone,
I'm new here, and have been on the raw food journey since January 2010. I'm now a raw vegan also (was raw vegetarian with dairy before), as of the last 4 months or so, and loving it. Prior to this year, I began to experiment with vegan gourmet recipes from restaurant cookbooks last september to december, so have been working with this experience to "translate" it into the raw world of food.
I first heard of raw food back in 1998, although from what I knew then, the people and teacher were mostly eating salads, which I did quite alot at that time.
In 2004 I took a course with Karen Knowler that took me right into other ideas beyond salads, and tasted my first raw pizza (yum), but in practice at that time was another story - including the often spoke about raw emotional detox - something I did not expect since I had been working with energy modalities since 1992.
Continuing on with the energy modalities, there came a time where there was little left to clear or rebalance at that level and I felt ready to take cleansing to the next level, and by divine synchronicity, a friend suggested I take the Raw Divas detox. I felt so cleansed from this, I wanted to feel like this always and forever, so I looked deeper and deeper into this pathway of life and was so excited with all I found - things had moved on alot since my first experiences in 2004!
This was the time for me! I actually felt my cells healing after eating raw food and was amazed and astounded! I had previously experienced that zinging in the cells after juices that I had regularly before going raw (I had a stainless steel angel juicer).
I began sourcing the best of the best products in the raw world of food, and felt guided to set up a raw food shop in October to assist others to easily find some great raw food items and eco lifestyle products also.

I am in Tampa for another 2 weeks and then going to up state NY for 2 weeks. Nothing too exciting.
I can not travel anywhere exotic as I refuse to have vacines and I want my food clean so I have to stay in safe places.

Sounds good. How is the weather there? Will you try out any of the raw restaurants?
I also would not want vaccines. It is so important for the body to know how beautiful and healthy it is - as it is - pure, clean and free of all harmful substances that block the true messages of life from flowing within the body. Vaccines and most western medicine tell the body it is imperfect and incapable of healing itself by itself, that it needs outside assistance.

I am not a fan of restaurants. I went to Grass Roots yesterday because I had arranged to meet friends there. I do like the people that run it and I have been by before but it has been a while now and it is me that has changed and not the restaurant. I would prefer to sit down whit a melon or a couple of mangoes.

I should not be saying that as I have my own restaurant in upstate NY (minty wellness)and when I go there in 2 weeks they will be expecting me to partake and sample the menu.
