Hello I love brown rice and squash cooked. I am trying to go all 80% or more raw. But can some one help me with a recipe. I need a brown rice substitute that is raw. I like raw yellow squash so that not the problems. But what can be substituted for brown rice. I am totally crazy for the taste and texture of brown rice, any help would be appreciated.:)

many people use cauliflower cut up very finely...

you can, of course, sprout some wild rice!

Sprouted wild rice is the best - very easy to do, though it takes a few days, so plan ahead!

If you buy wild, hand-collected rice you can simply soak it overnight and use it right away.

Good luck!

try soaking rye wheat seed 48 hours

it becomes soft / chewy

i speculate adding things to soaking water
to alter taste could be very good

say tomato / onion / garlic juiced for a savory tasting raw grain

say apple juice and cinnamon for a sweeet raw grain

and to this soaked rye ive added fine chopped tomato /
onion / parsley / garlic for a meal

Hi, what kind of barley do you use that sprouts?

I heard pearl barley is steam processed and does not soak.

Do you use hulled?
