Sooo I did something stupid this morning. I'd been fasting for 2 days but today I binge-ed on a whole load of chocolate and I feel awful. I decided to sort my "life" out by going as raw as possible and starting an exercise regime instead of fasting for health benefits (for now).. as I feel that this binge-restrict cycle I'm in is damaging to me mentally. I just started college so I don't really need this to be dealing with.

So I wrote up a timetable for my week that incorporates walking and running as part of an exercise regime, and I've also joined the gymnastics and trampolining club, as these are 2 sports I love.

Can you guys tell me your thoughts on this all this? Do you think it's the right approach or should I carry on trying to fast for 10 or so days before I get into a more long-term plan? My timetable includes 4+ hours of exercise per day (for now) to help me shift the weight and get me into better shape.. although I know that might be a bit much for some people, I feel if I'm 100% raw I'll be able to cope.

What do you guys think about using trampolining and gymnastics for exercise?

Basically tell me anything you want to tell me :) love you all! x

I'm far from an exercise expert, but it seems to me you are trying to do too many different things at the same time. Many have success with a step down type approach to RAW. Do what works best for you, but a rigid schedule while being a fulltime college student may not be in your best interests.

If you love gymnastics and trampoline, then by all means do them to enjoy them, NOT to change yourself.

As for starting with the fast... if that's what feels right to YOU, then do it. If not just try to up your raw intake and improve your diet.

I fear that if you set the bar too high you will fail. Every journey starts with a single step. Set lower targets and improve on them as you achieve them.
Trampolineing is a great way to exercise.

I'm not a guy yet, I agree with the others.

It seems with you (and many) that, it's all or nothing.

You fast (deprive) or binge; you hardly exercise, then you go to 4 hours a day all in the name of eliminating excess weight? Fasting didn't "work" so your next plan is to kill yourself exercising?

My advice, lighten up! Find a middle ground. Focus on health (mental/emotional as well as physical), not on the weight.

As was said, do what's fun for you! Why ask us if gymnastics or the trampoline is good exercise? Is it FUN for you? If not, don't do it!

Btw ~ when is your down time? Your just started college so, you'll be doing classes, studying, running, walking, trampoline, gymnastics.. and hopefully, eating a healthy, mostly raw to fully raw food program.

My advice again, stop the extremes, find a middle ground and have some fun!

One more thing I thought of after reading Revvell's post about what you will be doing... You need to spend time with PEOPLE. College is a great time to make friends and have a good time. Don't miss out on that!

Hey guys,

I appreciate your concerns but I've also worked in downtime and time to see friends into my timetable :)

Even though I've worked 4 hours of light exercise in, I've also written in the nights where I'll go out into the city with my friends, and each day has a 3 hours "blank slate" where by anything goes :P

Obviously structure is what you feel will work for you. Remember, schedules are made to be changed, lol. Just allow some flexibility or you aren't going to enjoy it much...

Exercise is needed. Good food is needed.

I PERSONALLY find that when I have very set, specific goals on exact numbers, that I put myself in a box and feel trapped. It is difficult to find perfection, to say the least. However we define it!

I love that you are setting your priorities, but I wonder if you can't just set a goal of exercising for SOME amount every day to keep your body and head clear and healthy, and just doing whatever feels good for that day. SO, if it happens to work out to go to the gym for an hour, great. But if you end up just walking or jogging from home for 20 minutes or biking or walking to classes, recognize that it is still a wonderful thing you are doing for yourself!

But this is obviously what would work for me... if it is truly working for you to do this... so be it! Our opinions won't matter.

Another option would be to try one thing one week and see how it feels and use that as your general guide.

Keep in mind that the binge-perfection cycle is often caused by the desire for perfection that doesn't work out.

Every step you make in the right direction is FABULOUS!

Don't lose sight of that!

Love to you!
:-) xxo Eva

I hae done a few days where i ae raw and DI NOT USE ANY kitchen tools beyond the sink/tap.

No Knives, masher, peeler blender......

Ate leafy greens wrapped around a tomato or pepper( seeds plucked out with thumb)

carrots, celery, beets( fun tasty and VERY RED.....)

I was curious about how it would be to eat "conveniently" and quickly.....

Nuts worked well( raw almonds soaked in a jar)

Went to health grocer and ate a head of Romaine an orange and a cuke in the car

Still had great energy for the day and workouts
