Is it really OK to add seeds like flax or chia to GS? There are fruits in GS. Fruits and seeds are not supposed to combine well. Even though the seeds will all be broken down to tiny pieces, still their digestion in the stomach will take hours, right? Won't that make fruits ferment?

I do it all the time with no problem what so ever. Try it out. Your tummy will tell you if its not liking the combo.

Agree. Personally like doing chia gel in mine.

I put ground flax seed in mine every day, never had a problem.

Ive done flax and even sunflower seeds. You can always add flax oil too. I add about a tablespoon a day.

I add 10 grams of groung flax seed and 5 grams of either sunflower of pumpking seeds to my smoothie. If you only add flax you will not have the correct balance of omega 3 and 6.

I don't put any thing in my green smoothies except for fruit and greens. But I do make a smoothie for breakfast that consists of almond milk, hemp, maca, banana, strawberries, blueberries and a handful of greens.

More than just OK - it's awesome! I add 2 T of chia seeds all the time to my GS. Along with the greens, they have the added benefit of slowing down sugar release from the fruits, plus they have a wonderful essential fatty acid profile and proteins in them. Great stuff!

Yeah, I use flaxseed oil in my green smoothies with fruit. I don't want to be bothered grounding flaxseeds.
