I was planing on becoming a fitness instructor, but what is a fitness instructor without kettlebell exercises! I thought why not be a certified kettlebell instructor too! Besides I want to make my exercise classes fun and kettlebells already does that!
The only problem I have is I'm not able to afford those classes, there too far away and too many trips & hotels! So I was wondering if anyone knows of any certified courses that are on the internet? The only one I can find is on dragondoor.com and I'm not sure if it's just for to teach you the exercises or if it's to become a certified trainer like I'm wanting?
Would anyone have any ideas on this? Thanks for your time and help!

I hope not since one can't REALLY learn how to use kb's without private instruction. I don't have certificates in kb's but, I know how to use them. Once thing I've learned over the last 24+ years of doing movement, one may think they are doing something correctly yet, with a great teacher, one can refine as well as prevent injuries. Having paper doesn't mean jack without proper knowledge, understanding and experience in anything.

The question is always, who certified the certifier?

Thanks, I just would feel better to be certified! It would make me feel more like Sarah Lurie she's had alot of education and etc.

... and she still does them wrong. Look at her head to coxyx alignement. Watch how she bends forward and keeps looking straight ahead.

Whoooa! Just watched her pick up the kbs from way in front of her. WOW! Totally unsafe!!! Yikes!!!

Don't know where she got her training... she scares me.

Watch where they're looking when they go forward ~ are they looking straight ahead? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DqrAwoBtbxc

I'm trying to find someone who picks up the kb correctly yet, even my favorites show them in front of them. When/if you get to heavier weights, you don't have the counter balance and leg thrust to assist.

Hmm Revvell, have you ever thought about being a kettle bell instuctor or certifying others to be kettle bell instuctor? You know what you're talking about to be one. Just a thought to think about. :)

I would but they've got to come to me. I wont do it online... well, maybe, if they're willing to put up vids so I can see their form... otherwise, they need to come here.

Always looking out for me my friend. :)

Thanks Revvell for your info! Your right they aren't doing the exercises right! But if I worked in a gym I didn't know if they would let me teach kettlebells if I wasn't certified! That's the only thing I'm worried about! I want to show everyone in my area what kettlebells are and what's so special about them!!
Since I started kettlebells that's about the only thing I care about teaching! The other exercises seem too boring!
Thanks again!
