I had to whip something up today for my kids' Cross Country Team dinner, so I decided to make a Waldorf salad. I didn't have Alissa's mayo, so I figured I could throw some stuff in the food processor for the dressing... some almonds, raw tahini, orange juice, lemon juice and agave nectar. This was my first time using my new Cuisinart, and I thought it would get all of that smooth. It didn't, so I decided to try it in my Vita-Mix. It made it a little smoother but it got quite warm... did I ruin the dressing? Even so I'm sure it was the healthiest thing at the dinner, but still I'd like to make it again. Do you think it was ok, or should I do something different next time (as it did turn out rather good, and I would like to make it again!).

Just to let you know, it was probably fine.

Too warm for enzymes is also too warm for your finger. So if you can stick your finger in it, then it is okay.

Hope this helps.

Just to let you know, the vitamix can actually cook foods, but you have to run in on high for a while before that will start to happen. I warm things up a lot in mine. I just don't let it run for more than 1.5 to 2 minutes. When SAD I use to HEAT things in it, couldn't even touch it, steam and everything.
