Hi,

I'm just at the very biginning of introducting raw to my diet and I would like to buy Vitamin D capsules as a supplement. How do I know which ones are best?

I believe some of the coating on the capsules cannot be digested properly in your system.

Are there are a particular type I should be looking for?

Thank you,

Sandals.

I have read that hard tablets are not easily absorbed but that the soft capsules are best. I take nutricology super D3.
Are you taking B12 as well.

I take pure encapsulations D3 liquid drops. The bottle lasts forever as well!

Yeah I take B12 aswell. I'll ask about the soft capsules in the Health Store later today.

Thanks for that.

Not to sound corney :p but I watched an episode of Dr. Oz and he featured a segment about which vitamin types are better absorbed by the body. I was super shocked to see that some types didn't get absorbed hardly at all.. very disappointing. Maybe check out his episode guide?
I my self love soft gels.

Yeah I think I'll look into it a bit more. Just would like to find out which ones are the best. I remember hearing something about the outer coat needs to be made of some natural substance but I'd have to do more research.

I'd never heard of Dr. Oz (I'm based in Ireland) so I just googled him there. Thanks for your input.

I take B12 plus "MegaFood" 100% Whole Food Ultra C-400 and their Women Over 40 daily vitamin. These are 100% Whole food, organic, no soy, no gluten, easy to digest made from raw food. These are vegetarian as well. Check out their website. I purchased them at our Natural Food store in Calgary, Canada.
