Oh it's even prettier than I imagined. AND guess what? It has a juicing section!!! Of course, that's where I opened the book to first thing... without even realizing it. I just opened it and VOILA... there it was... juice recipes!!!
I am loving how simply this book is laid out. It's a nice size 8"x9"... The recipes are simple to follow and really well explained!
The picture of the pizza on the back makes me look forward to breaking my fast next year!
I'll update with more info as I get more of it read!

It's such a great book. Soooo easy to follow the recipes and they are really quite simple to make. I'm shocked. I thought they'd be super complex since they came from her restaurant but she made them so user friendly!!!

oh Deb.. I can't put this book down. I just keep finding another amazing recipe. I even found what I'll be making for myself (since I'm fasting) for Yule/Christmas this year. MUSHROOM TEA! mmmmmmm wait till you see the recipe. I was just talking with Alissa and she said it's soooooooooo good. I can't wait to try it but I'm going to wait. I'm going to save it for Yule!

There's an indian blend that I want to make ASAP. Ohhhhh mama... I want to try this one.
I've read almost the entire book... and I'm blown away by how truly truly great it is. I'm not just saying that cause I moderate here... I'm serious. Of all the raw food books I've seen (and I've got a lot here) this is - by far - the best put together, the most beautiful and the easiest to follow (recipes)...
I love everything. From the colour of the text (they use a gorgeous orange) to the professional pics to the ease of the directions.
Great great job Alissa... great job!!!

None of you will be disappointed... trust me... you will be so thrilled. Even the paper it's on is lovely.
There really is something for everyone... no matter how long or short you've been raw... this book will assist you greatly. I'm salivating for the juices... AND the recipes for when I'm done fasting.

absolutely there are!!!
i am loving this book. i was reading it this morning again... and i love the way she explains what we can use in raw foods and what we shouldn't (and why). some of the items i've never used... and i plan to once my fast is over.
i know i'm raving about this book but honestly... it's the best raw food book i've ever read!!! (and i have a lot of raw food books)... easiest to understand and absorb (information wise) and really super useful info. like the spice blends for example... i love that she tells us exactly how to make the spices she uses in the book... from scratch! i love that!!! (((blissing out)))

I received this book in the mail and couldn't put it down. I love her other book as well "Living on Raw Live Food" but this one is even better. (Never thought that was possible!)

She even has a full section dedicated to making raw pickles (and I looooove pickles!) and raw cheeses! And so much more!
If you are uncooking for yourself, your family or an event... there are recipes in this book that will not only inspire you but tantillate your tastebuds!
This is really a 'must have' for any one who is raw.

I received the book this morning and immediately sat down to look through it. I was very happy with the format of this book as opposed to her previous one; makes it much easier to read and use!
Well organized, good index, references to recipes (used in conjunction with another recipe) are complete with page numbers!
I have a bunch of RAW food books, and this will take it's place in the top 3!
Well worth the price and is suitable for both newbie and more experienced raw fooders.

Oh my gosh..i am so in love with Alissa!:). I just got the book this morning but had to wait until I got home to see it. Told my hubby don't touch..lol. The book is beautiful, pictures and recipes..which one :Dto start first. I would love to make the mushroom fettucine, or the greek pizza or.....the list goes on. I cant wait to uncook..Love it!!!

I am beyond excited - wish I could take a few days off and indulge in nothing but food preparation . . .

Yes, I'm so very happy to have your new book in my home to celebrate on my ongoing beautiful raw food journey!!!! This morning, I was jumping up and down literally with joy when I got a message on my answering machine saying, "Hi, this is so so calling from Barnes and Nobles to let you know that the books you have pre-order is in......." I picked it up on the way home this evening. I looked it over and it is the coolest raw food book I have on my bookshelf!! And now I can't wait to make the recipes!!!!! I know that everyone around me will be drooling over whatever I'm eating out of your book and they'll be like, "I want some too!!!!" :) And I'll be like get Alissa's book!!! :D

I.... feel the mall calling........! For several years now I've told people to buy Alissa's book and just have the library do interlibrary loan for the rest of the raw books. I requested that my local library buy her book and they wouldn't because she published it herself. Actually I should challenge that again.

I used to get all red in the face and giddy from rejuvelac. I'm wondering if I could use probiotic powder instead.

My book came in last night and I have not been able to put it down....WOW is it good!!!
Considering that I am very new with the whole raw food life style, this is indeed what I very much needed. Not only does it have wonderful recipes that I can't wait to make but it is the raw food handbook that is like an encylopedia that explains what everything is and how to use it.

The Mushroom Fettucine was Excellent!!! I had my doubts about all the spices, but they were wonderful. I stayed true to the recipe and I honestly wouldn't change a thing... except, I made half the saffron sauce and I still have a lot left over that I am not certain what I will use it for. Thumbs way up :)

The book is fab. Thank you so much Alissa. I love that it has so much extra info that all the other books don't like the seasonings and pickled section. I also love that it is light weight and a more comfortable size.
Congrats on a fabulous job.
This book truly is an inspiration to get back on the raw wagon.

I must say, with the hype I was a bit disappointed. While the photos are really nice, I was expecting so many more. I got the book anyway, but it just was not visually what I was expecting from the reviews. I love cookbooks with LOADS of pics....like every recipe, not just a select few.

Babeak, if there was a pic of each recipe... she would have had to cut 1/2 the recipes out of the book. I'd rather have the recipes than pics myself. But I hear what you are saying...

Just took a quick look and a quick estimate that I would probably say that it's about 50/50 of dehydrated and non-dehydrated recipes.
Just keep in mind that some of these recipes are from Grezzo. I've been to Grezzo once and the food is just amazing. OMG! That's part of why all the hype for me to be excited about this book!!

I am so in agreement with you Aleesha! ReneeH is my new she-RAW! I just finished reading her 30 day challenge with its many pics and I was floored! It reminded me of the Julie & Julia movie, which inspired me to pick a raw book i like and try to work thru it like the screenplay. I think this is a great book for that. I just ordered mine from Borders online, and went and picked up a copy locally while I order from Alissa's site (gotta love a discount promo!) WHile yes, there arent as many pics as the first, i love how much simpler the recipes seem while boasting some amazing ingredients and flavors! Hubby was checking out the meditteranean lasagna -- i think that will have to be a special day to make that one!!
I really like the book - hope to find a pretty book holder to lay it on while I am UNcooking! I am also going to make soon

*Aleesha....yeh maybe not Every recipe, but a heck of a lot more. I love visual inspiration. I agree with you too though that it is good to have a large number of recipes.
Another thing that I did not mention that is important to me are the headings and fonts. They are very nice and classic...not all funky and hard to read. So that is definitely a plus as well.
I will have to give some recipes a whirl and perhaps post some of my own pics.
