Dear Friends,
I have just read and signed the petition:
Oppose the Weakening of Organic Labeling Laws
http://www.thepetitionsite.com/takeaction/860594522

They are wanting to allow artificial, synthetic ingredients in the food and continue to label as organic.....

I just signed it. If companies such as Kraft or whatever want the trendy label "organic" to make another few million bucks, they sure as heck better WALK THE WALK and make their food really organic. The sludge they produce is already bad enough. They should make their food fit what they say it is, and benefit the people, not THEM. True organic food is already hard enough to come by unless you produce your own.

Why am I even surprised at this?
*shakes head* I am the 7678th person, and that is only halfway to the signatures we need. I'm going to e-mail people.

I signed it but I just realized that it's probably for processed foods if Kraft is involved. Would still make sense to make them walk the walk, but as far fresh fruits and veggies, maybe we have nothing to worry about.

Kraft is best known for their processed boxed stuff, but they're big and own/influence a lot of companies so it is worth it to sign it.

Thanks for posting this, Luvnraw. I've signed the petition and have forwarded it on to everyone I know who supports organic (and have asked them to do the same!).
