does whole foods really carry RAW oat groats?

I bought a bunch of oat groats from whole foods in bulk thinking they would be raw... but then I read that most oat groats aren't raw since they go rancid fairly quickly.

Probably not, usually they have been steamed if they are not sold from a raw-specific place. Or at the least marked as raw. But I never seem them marked "raw" at places like Whole Foods or other bulk-bin type places...
