I've got Alissa's book and DVD but have no equipment and a very tight budget! Also I've got to feed a meat eating teenager so I think I'll be changing gradually. I'm a bit wary about having more hair loss - my hair is already thin - so i've just bought some organic shampoo as a treat. Looking forward to getting to know you and know more about this journey to raw food health. :)

Hi, I do not think that my hair got thin so I am not sure that you should be worried about that. If you make sure that you get your nutrients you will be fine. Have plenty greens and things like celery.

When you watch Alissa's DVD's you'll see that she doesn't use all the expensive food processors and blenders that most raw foodists use. I went and bought the food processor and used my old blender I'd had for years and years, actually from when we were 1st married. They worked fine!!!! From what I understand Alissa also used these type of appliances for years. I now have a great blender and food processor and they are worth every penny but they aren't necessary. Good luck.....and an extra good luck in keeping your teenager full, not to mention all the friends.
