View Full Version : Good Water, Bad Water

Okay, I've recently been bombarded with contrasting stories on what kind of water to drink.....distilled, tap, bottled, etc. I personally drink distilled, and I own a water distiller. I've always heard tap water is bad because of the chlorine, so I cut that out (and I think it tastes nasty). But now it seems everywhere I look people/doctors are saying distilled water is horrible because it lacks all minerals and actually "leeches minerals from your body, especially your bones, to balance out its mineral levels." I just don't see how that's true because I always thought the minerals in water are in an inorganic state and unusable to the body anyway. It's only through the development of a plant/veggie/fruit that changes them to an oraganic state our body can use. So, the best mineral source would be through eating a veggie or fruit. Then I've heard bottled spring water is bad because it's purified with an "ozone formula" that can be toxic. What are your thoughts on water and what kind do you drink?

LisaDS88,
I feel your pain...
trying to find the healthiest water to drink may cause my head to explode!
(which wouldn't be very healthy)
I drink distilled water. The 'warst" kind - plastic gallons from grocerie store.
I do not think it would do any harm. Paul Brag was big proponent of distilled water. He lived to 96 and that it good enouph argument for me.

Yeah, the whole water thing can be daunting. I drink anything but tap!
Sometimes it's spring, sometimes it's distilled, sometimes it's filtered...whatever I can get that tastes good to me. But eat a lot of water-based fruits (grapes, melon, oranges, etc.) and perhaps coconut water for nature's BEST distilled water! I find that the more juicy fruit I eat, the less I'm thirsty.

Yeah, I'm a huge fan of health guru Paul Bragg and his whole llifestyle! He always drank distilled water and never seemed to have problems. He died of a SURFING accident at age 95. I doubt you could go surfing at 95 if you had bad bones from drinking distilled water your whole life. He is the reason I am still sticking with distilled water, I'm just having a lot of doubts lately because I seem to be surrounded by people telling me otherwise.

You forgot "magnetised" "ionized" and "reenergised" .
I was recently given a little copper coil that is filled with "imploded water" which if placed in the fridge or near water is supposed to remind the water near it how it is supposed to behave. Seemingly water has forgotton what it is to do. I have read up on magnetised water, small molecule water and large molocule water and lots more as I am also trying to decide what to use as a water scource. It is very hard to sift the science from the mumbo jumbo

I drink our tap water, however we have an artesian well, that doesn't need chlorination, if and when it ever does, about once a year, you can dissipate the chlorine several ways.
All you need to do is let the water sit about 24 hours, or airate it, by spray, or stirring, or heating, all you are trying to do is release the chlorine gas into the air, by adding oxygen to the water, so stirring is a good thing.
I wrote an article on drinking water on my blog=>

Distilled water is great but you must restructure it before
drinking. My article discusses some techniques for doing this.
For the best article ever written on this subject,
read the water chapter in Gabriel Cousens new book
"Spiritual Nutrition".

I also prefer distilled, but use the water through the refrigerator that gets filtered.
I really got into Paul Bragg as well, particularly The Miracle of Fasting. If any minerals where to be released, your cells hold on to the all its required minerals.
I've also read how the emptiest water is the best to drink. That it acts as a vaccuum and helps to remove impurities - maybe the body needs to be cleansed of inorganic minerals?
