Welcome welcome welcome!!!

Welcome to the 30 day challenge.

If you haven't already... please take a moment to read the posting rules/guidelines (http://www.rawfoodtalk.com/announcement.php?a=3) of this section. Thanks!

Welcome to the Monthly Raw Challenge!

We're excited about this new area of the forum that is specifically for those of you who are eager to commit to a month of eating 100% raw foods and seeing miraculous results!

WE (one of the moderators) will start a new challenge thread on the first of every month.

We want the focus of these monthly challenge threads to be on staying raw and accountability. Therefore, if you have eaten all raw and then slip up and have something cooked, we don’t want you to beat yourself up over it or dwell on it, but this is not space to discuss it. You are more than welcome to document it in your journal/blog or ask for help in the discussion area, but it is not necessary (and not allowed) to discuss your slip-up here in the challenge threads, just get right back on track and keep going!

In the event that you feel you are not quite ready to fully commit to the challenge and you find yourself having slip-ups often, then please join us again during the following month. Of course you are still more than welcome to participate on other parts of the forum, but we would really like to keep this section dedicated to those who are committed to doing 30 days 100% raw.

Peace, Blessings and Warmest Regards,

Cherie

RawHorizons - I hope you feel much better soon.

I am posting really late today because I have been really busy getting ready for a camping trip with my husband. We are heading to West Virginia and Virginia. I'm not sure where we will wind up exactly, just going to sit back and relax and let my husband go where ever he wants. I'm taking my blender so I can have at least one green smoothie a day. I've got plenty of fresh fruit and greens to go with me. I'll try to post every day still.

Smoothie with last of my raspberries and strawberries, bee pollen, honey, vanilla, chia seeds
Baby carrots
Green salad with red leaf lettuce, red peppers, cucumbers, tomatoes, my french fried onions, and a little raw cider vinegar
Red pepper lime soup

DAY 8

PEACE

Hope everyones coping well! Today i skipped out on breakfast and lunch just had water and and apple, for dinner i had a salad of spinach, mushroom, sweetcorn, avocado, cucumber, pumpkin seeds and sunflower seeds.

I am having such intense cravings today, the first cravings ive had since i started this i thought i wasnt going to get any after the first three days went by

Its really really challenging me!!!!! Cheese pizza mmmmmmmmm... but ive just been trying to get rid of all my emotional attatchments with food, reminding myself WHY it is i really like that food, and most of the time its because its associated with something in my life that evokes good feelings.

For example pizza was always a one day a week family ritual thing when i was a kid, it was the staple food of all my friends birthdays, hangout food etc so im just getting rid of all those emotions associated with it and coming to terms with how bad those types of food are.

Peace peace peace take care all, until tomorrow!:D

Hello everyone,

going strong here and after the initial detox I'm full back on for training for half marathon and horse events. My muscles are a little bit tight today but probably just because it was SO easy to run that I didn't take the first day back slowly enough- I just wanted to go up all the steep tracks and even that wasn't too difficult!

Just having a green smoothie and then going to just go for a little run!
Any suggestions on athlete's performance and raw food?

Also, I was wondering how the emotional detox affects you? And hiw do you deal with it?

Thanks! Sending you all wonderful fresh energies!
