I love raw veg juice and have been curious about juice feasting for a long time.

Generally, if I have more than 1 - 1.5 liters of juice for breakfast (depends on what's in there), I get racy/spacy in an unpleasant way. Normally I take that as my cue to eat solid foods--otherwise I quickly spiral into headaches, nausea, etc. I sometimes have more juice after having fruit, or in the afternoon, which is fine. Does this mean that I'm not really ready for a juice feast at this time? FWIW, I'm overweight and high raw.

I'm also curious about how to identify when to end a juice feast.

Any input would be appreciated. Thanks!

It's called detox... and that's what begins when you allow your body to rest while on a juice fast. The first three days are the hardest and then your body gets into the groove and you tend to feel better. (sometimes the detox gets more intense though... depends on the individual).

You can fast on juice for a long time so chances are... you are going to choose to end it before you have to. I'm on day 113 of my juice fast...

Thanks Aleesha. For whatever reason the response to lots of juice seems to me somewhat specific and different from regular detox (esp as it occurs no matter what % of raw I've been eating--it's more in relation to how much green juice I've been drinking). Is niacin flush considered detox? I've wondered if that's what it is, as I get very hot and red (asked in dead of winter if I've been in the sun).

Anyway, today is the eve of my juice feast and I took my first dose of HealthForce Intestinal Drawing formula (bentonite clay etc). Within an hour I felt much better (in fact felt great), and my temperature and coloring returned to normal.
