...On my condition..

So I saw the doctor. Turns out I have several torus (bony overgrowths) in my gums and mouth that have turned white. I also have TMJ (diagnosed now, though the jaw on my other side is sorta semi-locked as well), and a wicked sinus infection! I think it's all connected somehow... About a year ago, my collarbone sorta slipped, and my vertebrae started rotating. I think my neck and shoulders are related to this, I have a hunch the TMJ & torus may just be part of this sinus infection, for several reasons! Including when I was young, my teeth roots started spreading out like this, and I had to have several baby teeth pulled! Turns out, something was coming up behind the baby teeth, spreading the roots, and pressing down on the nerve in between them. I suspect the same thing is happening now, and the sinus infection is partially locking up my jaw. Also, since food has been getting stuck between my teeth and sucking up between my gums, this may be *food* collecting beneath my upper (& possibly lower) jaw....ewww! Not sure what to do about that, but I notice physiologically, on people with distorted teeth, oil pulling seems to help them, and it suggests that crooked teeth may have something to do with sinus pressure on jaw or gums. Since all this originated at the same time, I assume the TMJ is also from the sinus infection, and probably, since the back of my throat has expanded & has been crooked for sometime, as well as my post-nasal drip stopping entirely, that I may have locked my jaw myself through too much pot. :S Ouch! Reality hurts hard! Can't smoke and keep up health, even if it alleviated Crohn's pain. I quit about 9 months ago, and the pain has still not receded, sinus feels gummed together at back of throat, as if post-nasal drip is blocked. Chunks of blood come out, lined with mucus...dried. I have been I have been trying to keep up oil pulling on a daily schedule, though I get nervous doing it if I've eaten first, since it tends to work best on an empty stomach. What oil do you guys use?? I have coconut, safflower (intuition), and sesame, all expeller pressed & raw. Can't seem to suck it up into my teeth yet properly, or something weird has happened due to sinusitis, since I still can't breathe through my teeth or roof of mouth yet. This has been a chronic condition since childhood! Screams Candida. Also have whitish *fur* growing on tongue! Has happened several times, always after antibiotic treatment, looked it up, it is called Thrush.

Anyway, I am 90% raw now and trying! Keep giving me encouragement, and tips on how to try! I did a juice fast until about noon today, and it helped the body some, though I think it is best to sleep on a fast (body detoxes faster, help white blood cell count).

Oh yes, and have any of you had a *furry* poop while detoxing? Seriously. I had one just yesterday. It had white growth on it. I am beginning to think, since most sinusitis is chronic & caused by fungus, that I have SKREWED myself with an elaborate candida infection that may take years to cure! I am not giving up, but my questions are two-fold...

1) I don't have the option to go to a health institute. I am disabled, and have NO money, besides food stamps & mother. I am only 26. Is there some sort of serious anti-fungal treatment I can take & swallow?

2) I need a parasite-cleanse. Seriously! But my body doesn't digest pills & powders well. What do you suggest? I have Crohn's, and whatever goes in, comes out in the same form.

Everything right now screams FUNGAL Overgrowth. I hope you guys can help! I definitely feel like I'm in my dying days if I don't make a FULL transition to raw foods over the next 2 days. I am taking everyone's suggestion and going out for wild foods recently, though I don't recognize most of the plants, just go by intuition on what I eat, just as Boutenko family did on hitchhike up Cali coastline. I looked at some NW guides, but nothing in my area looks recognizable (Des Moines, Seattle, WA). Just weeds! Also, doing the baking soda treatment recommended by Dr. Simoncili, who said it is extremely alkalizing and treats fungal infection well.

I also need some tips on quitting coffee. I wake up with a wicked headache when I don't! And no energy, depression..can't even get out of bed. :S That one espresso cup a day keeps me going! I have tried Teecino, nothing gives me same energy, and I need a headache cure, this gets so bad I can't even sit still or sleep, I have been a caffeine addict since age 6!

Addio!,

Sounds like you aren't having a good time of it. :(

Hope the healing starts soon.

Not much advice except for the following.

Energy - green smoothies, seriously, they helped me get off the coffee years back. It was the last thing to go would you believe! Just be aware that, as coffee is an addictive substance, there's really no way of getting around the detox symptoms like headaches and irritability, and the energy still might be low for a few days or even weeks depending on your constitution.

Parasite cleanse - with the Crohns, you might want to blend up your cleanse foods, this will help with absorption. Paw paw seeds are a great cleanse food, maybe blend them up in some water, strain the seed pulp with a strainer and drink the liquid. Warning! They are peppery, you might want to try a little before trying a lot to see if your digestive system handles them.

Actually, with Crohns and other digestive disorders, blending food really does help with availability of nutrients. And blended and juiced greens are great for upping alkalinity and delivering much needed nutrients.

Not sure about the antifungal, but bear in mind with fungal infections, it's often what you are eating rather than what you need to eat to get rid of it.

My dear,

I want you to be very careful and very honest with yourself throughout this process. High fiber diets (such as raw) can be very bad for people who are in an active flare of Chrons or Colitis. I know, as I experienced this firsthand and didn't listen to my body (called the worsening of my illness "detox") and got myself sicker than I'd ever been. This could have been avoided if I'd switched over to juices, steamed potatoes, quinoa, and steamed veggies. So please remain honest with yourself.

With your Chrons history you should avoid some of the really wicked parasite cleanse options (I think you probably have some candida but not parasites...) Candida grows because we've prepared the ground for it, so it's not just about getting rid of the candida but about making your body an unfriendly place for it to live. This means cutting the sugars.

Pau D'arco is perhaps the best anti-fungal I know and it's unlikely to cause you aggravation with your Chrons. Calendula (marigold flowers) is also just wonderful. Consider using the tincture of Pau D'arco in your oil when you oil pull (1 dropperful) and taking it internally (in a glass of water) 2x per day. 2 dropperfuls per dose (about 40 drops.) I would use the tincture rather than the tea. You'll get a better dose and stronger herb.

Good luck,
Melanie

Hi Melanie and klomasius :)

Ok, I a gonna go antifungal to get rid of the sinus infection. Like, now. I am finishing off my bottle of kefir out of goat's milk and that is IT! As far as raw & crohn's, I have tried for a couple weeks at a time before, but the coffee always makes me slip back off. I do, however, feel my body recovers and feels better on RAW! I have never had the problems you are suggesting... Crohn's actually responds better with raw to me! Especially 1-2 green smoothies a day.

If I take probiotics, fast once a week, and simply take it easy (no stress!) this should work... I hope. I am going through a rapid emotional detox, and it is the worst thing ever! However, I imagine once I am FULLY raw this detox process will REALLY start and I am gonna feel like HELL! Have any of you dealt with this before!? And what were your results? Can I take probiotics (raw sauerkraut, garden of life) & antibiotics (raw garlic?) at the same time?? I am trying to cure a sinus infection and Crohn's, and unfortunately, my body's needs conflict. I suffered from a VERY abusive upbringing, and I am afraid of detox, have not cried in years.. Results with this?? Anyone.

I will try Pau D'Arco, paw paw seeds, and I have heard papaya seeds and juiced cucumbers are also good! However, a strong tincture is just what I need! My body tells me so. If any of you know any herb droppers with antifungal medication in dissolved oil, or something similar, let me know! My body tends to absorb liquids better!

I am on a mostly liquid diet now, with a few beans & rice here and there, but I am dropping that TODAY! Wish me luck, my first day RAW is upon me!
