This forum seemed to be the most active in the raw food community so I chose to make this my main forum. Next to goneraw.com and Living Foods Community.
I began a transition, going from vegetarian, to vegan, to raw. I've been 98 percent raw now for more than 2 weeks. I say 98 percent because I still take a multivitamin and multimineral, vegan DHA supplements, cold pressed hemp oil and now switched to bulk nutiva hemp protein from nutribiotics rice protein, since I figured hemp protein would be more raw. I'm don't have the resources to have that much of a varied diet to get all my nutrients from just raw food and going to college so, it works well.
My goal is to be 98 percent raw, but I may vary from 80-98 on a day to day basis depending on convention. I hear the diet must be like what, 75 percent raw so the body can clean out more toxins than it takes in? I do feel great now. I noticed during my transition from vegan to raw, I spent two days raw, and then ate something cooked. I immediately felt my body become sluggish and slow.
I might have to adjust here and there to plan my diet better, but now I'm sticking to simple foods. Eating the cheapest and simplest food I can afford and not really preparing much, or making complex recipes.
I'm hoping to learn from the forum and website, and contributing myself when I can. I haven't read much on the raw diet, but I am scientific minded. I'll do my best.
I wish you all the best and I'm glad to be sharing with this community, it's really a good cause here.
Regards
Christopher
