Hello everyone. My name is Kimberley, and I'm new to the concept of the raw diet; I first heard about it from my daughter. She had asked me if I would do the Master Cleanse with her and then start the raw diet.
Today is actually day 1 of the cleanse, but I didn't join her in that because I'm a diabetic and I wanted to get some advice first. I spoke to a naturopath who suggested I work with her for a month or two to be sure my health is stable enough to handle such a difficult cleanse.
In the meantime I've been poking around the internet looking for more info on this raw diet and came upon a couple of sites that looked good to me; the Raw Mom, Cooked Dad website (http://adf.ly/115253/rawmom) and this forum. I'm going to follow both and hopefully benefit from the information I find. I've been having such a difficult time with my sugar for quite a while now and I'd really like to get a grip on my health. I can't remember the last time I felt good, and I don't feel that my doctor really has my best interests at heart. I've decided to take the helm and steer my own ship. It looks like I'm going to learn a lot here.
Are there any other Canadians here?
