Welcome welcome welcome!!!
Welcome to the 30 day challenge.
If you haven't already... please take a moment to read the posting rules/guidelines (http://www.rawfoodtalk.com/announcement.php?a=3) of this section. Thanks!
Welcome to the Monthly Raw Challenge!
We're excited about this new area of the forum that is specifically for those of you who are eager to commit to a month of eating 100% raw foods and seeing miraculous results!
WE (one of the moderators) will start a new challenge thread on the first of every month.
We want the focus of these monthly challenge threads to be on staying raw and accountability. Therefore, if you have eaten all raw and then slip up and have something cooked, we don’t want you to beat yourself up over it or dwell on it, but this is not space to discuss it. You are more than welcome to document it in your journal/blog or ask for help in the discussion area, but it is not necessary (and not allowed) to discuss your slip-up here in the challenge threads, just get right back on track and keep going!
In the event that you feel you are not quite ready to fully commit to the challenge and you find yourself having slip-ups often, then please join us again during the following month. Of course you are still more than welcome to participate on other parts of the forum, but we would really like to keep this section dedicated to those who are committed to doing 30 days 100% raw.
Peace, Blessings and Warmest Regards,
Cherie

October 3rd, a beautiful day here in Florida. I came to the conclusion that I have never felt as good as I did when I was eating mostly raw foods. October 4th will be my first day of 100% raw. I am starting with what I have in the house since I am not able to really buy to much food until next payday in a week. I have plums, raspberries, apple, walnuts, almonds, sunflower seeds, carrots, some romaine, bell peppers. I can get a few raw things if inexpensive to tide me over until payday on the 14th( I bought mostly vegetarian cookable foods this past week). I will be here a lot reading how to make green smoothies and some other recipes. I do have a food dehydrater.
I am excited!

Did well yesterday, no cheating. The potato chips came out really thin and crispy similiar to baked chips, one problem I put way too much salt on them so I could not eat them, will try again later this week. What a waste:eek:
This is what I will eat today;
B Green Smoothie, with frozen strawberries, Roots Protein powder and green powder.
S: Grapes & a Raw Cranberry Granola Bar
L: Pate stuffed portobello Mushroom and a salad with balsalmic vinegrette.
Dinner; Smoothie and Fresh Fruit
Late Snack if any will be some of the Raw snacks that I picked up yesterday from WH.
**Throughout the day I will drink fresh Fruit & Veggie Juice and lots of water.

ahhh I LOVE RAW~!!! i'm feeling so good today and energetic! i'm getting lots of cleaning done, i feel the need to clean out my space as well as my body! :)
Today I had:
-1 date, 1 butternut squash cookie
-a huge green smoothie: kale, spinach, banana, frozen strawberries, flax oil, apple, and about 2 cups of water... this is my favorite green smoothie
-a big salad with flax crackers for lunch, the salad was romaine, carrots, cucumbers, tomato, red pepper, red onion with a basic vinagarette of olive oil, apple cider vinegar, honey, sea salt, and lemon juice (YUM!) ... and I made this super huge and split it up so I can have it tomorrow too.
haven't decided what's for dinner yet but I hope everyone else is having a great day raw and staying on track!

Hi everyone, so happy and inspired by everyone's rawkin' attitude!
1L lemon water
1L green smoothie of spinach, pear, peach, hemp seeds, honey with bee pollen, water
Leftoveer green salad and quinoa salad for lunch
Apple pie for lunch
Celery root and granny smith soup with truffle oil for dinner. This was a new recipe I tried out from Raw Food, Real World. It was good but I think I did something wrong as it was super thick! Have plenty left over for tomorrow.
Does anyone know any celery root recipes? I still have some...

Still going strong!
Had a major loss of energy today but it's because my body is healing so I'll just keep going and trust that it's workin'. (It's still got some healing crisis going on)
Otherwise feeling rawktabulous!

DAY 4
Today was great, i can feel it in my body! This morning was another morning walking up the dreaded 'hill' to work. I name it that because its one very steep hill i have to conquer by foot to get to work, my legs always built up so much lactic acid that it was really painful for me, constant burning sensation in my legs (Do not know if thats something to do with my diabetes). Its even when i walk normal paths, i have to walk really slow because my legs just build up so much lactic acid... BUT TODAY I HARDLY FELT A THING!!!!!!!!!!!! :D
I felt like i could climb a mountain!
Other than that... i had to go to hospital to the emergency room for my brother... his blood pressure is high, i kept telling him about eating raw previously but it took him a while, it took something to happen to him, before he realized how bad eating unhealthy foods is.
I ask as a favor for you guys to keep him in your prayers, i really want him to get better, and i will spread my positive energy to all of you through the universe!
BREAKFAST
Raw cereal (sprouted nuts and seeds with cacao)
LUNCH
1 avocado diced with lemon juice and a tad bit of salt
DINNER
Spinach, avocado, radish, cucumber and carrot salad
snacks inbetween
Goji berries
Live almonds
Sunflower seeds
Pumpkin seeds
IM GETTING A JUICER TOMORROW!!!!! ;)
Hope all of you are doing great, and please remember to pray for my brother.
Peace to all

Mucked up a little and didn't have anything till 2pm, I just forget I can eat without feeling guilt.
Just had a simple smoothie- spinach, oranges, flax seed oil.
Going to make another one before I go out.
My mum woke up this morning after a day of a headache yesterday and said she felt her headache lift has soon as she got up and was replaced with rejuvenated energy- I'm feeling good and very balanced, yet I have not had this major shift, maybe I won't feel it like that because I'm transitioning from 80/20 to 100%?
I might be expecting too much too soon ;)
Hope you are all feeling well!

Doing well with food, but incredibly spacey today...does not bode well when one had to concentrate on classes and take a test.
