i realize that frozen peas are blanched and i'm ok with that
should you soak frozen peas (after the thawing process)? I shook them up with water and they got that soapy look

I'm not sure I understand what you mean, but soaking them, like you'd soak nuts etc to reduce the phytates etc, would not do much good cuz they're parboiled.

Actually, we eat frozen peas in our household too! ;)

I've used frozen peas plenty in the past and I simply ran them under cold water in a colander until they're thawed and then use them in the salad or whatever recipe I'm making. It only takes a minute or so and they're ready to go. *Ü*

I have to say that one of the memories that I expect to still have on the day that I die is eating a pack of previously frozen peas sitting in the car up a dirt road in the middle of reservation country in the Arizona dessert.
I was hungry and enjoyed them a lot.

Isn't there a warning on the bag of frozen peas about consuming them without heating them up first?

Is there a risk of food poisoning if not? I'm unsure.

I love frozen peas!
