Hello my friends,

I've been transitioning to a Raw lifestyle over the past few weeks, and am currently eating 75% Raw, which I'm quite happy to stay at for the next month or so (some of the detox symptoms have been very unpleasent to say the least haha).

Anyways, after several weeks of lurking, I just wanted to give you a look at my general diet, and perhaps receive some feedback, especially as to where I can improve.

BREAKFAST
60g of Organic raw oat groats
50g organic almonds
2 organic medjool dates
1 handful of organic blueberries
(all blended to make a wonderful porridge)

LUNCH
Quorn chicken sandwich (1 pack of quorn chicken slices on
2 slices of organic wholemeal bread, with pease pudding)
1 organic cucumber
40g organic cashew nuts

MID-AFTERNOON
Green Shake:
100g spinach
2 organic bananas
1 organic apple
1 organic mango
1 heaped tablespoon organic raw mesquite powder

EVENING:
Half of a honeydew melon

Juice drink:
200g Kale
5 carrots (organic)
2 tomatoes (organic)
1 lemon (organic)
1 apple (organic)
2 inch piece of organic ginger

I've read a lot regarding insulin resistance due to a high fat intake when consuming high sugar, so I would also appreciate any comments on how my current diet fares with that.

Thankyou in advance for your help. I am truly grateful to have found this site, and to have the opportunity to learn.

Peace and Blessings,
Craig

EDIT: Just to inform you that I exercise 6 days a week for an hour at a time, doing mainly resistance training (bodyweight exercises).

Hi
You did not say how many calories you need (male or female, active etc.). I suggest that you download cronometer and put all of your info in for a few days and you will learn a lot.

I have looked at the ingredients list on the quorne and there is a lot of things in there that I feel are detrimental to health. You should try to eat natural foods and not additives and chemicals.

you want to know how to improve? get rid of the 25% of cooked... that'll be a huge improvement!

I agree, when I eat 100% I feel a MILLION times better than when I eat ANY cooked food.

Hi Sport,
I was reading your post regarding that download of calorie counter, I was wondering are you able to plug in any kind of raw food and it will tell me, becuase I hate the ones that you use and you have to plug everything in, i just wnt to be able to put my food in and it does the work for me. Thanks!! Becky
