What does hulled millet taste like

What does hulled millet taste like soaked without sprouting? Bitter at all? Hard on teeth?

I'm also curious about quinoa and amaranth for the same things

I read that the sprout can be bitter for all

amaranth? kind of a nutty taste I guess you could say. Sort of wheatish if you've ever chewed wheat seed. Sort of ricey, I suppose.
