Hi, as some of you may have seen, I recently purchased a TSM D10 Dehydrator from UKjuicers.com. I've had it going a little while now and with the included thermometer I've been testing the heat inside and unfortunately, it's not very consistent. Now I'm not too fussed myself but I know if I was doing this for business and people knew it was going over 40 Celsius, they wouldn't be happy but any amount below 40 and it seems to take ages to dry things out. It seems I've to constantly monitor the temperature to make sure it doesn't drop too much or go too high and seems it could be at any level on the dial to get it at the right temperature.
Before I get back to the store to see if this is a common problem, or maybe a problem with my unit, I'd like any advice on what I may be doing wrong.
It's currently placed on top of a hip-height freezer, I wouldn't think this would have much do to with it, but it might, it's as close the the wall as the plug will allow it to go (maybe 2inches away) and other than that, it's just operating as usual.
If anyone has any advice on how best to get a consistent temp please share.
