Many of my raw friends have told me time and again that I really need to do some coffee enemas to complete the detox of my body.
I realize this is a pretty personal question, but do many of you here do them? I've been pretty open minded about everything in terms of raw, but I'm just not sure I'm ready to put my coffee in the other end :o
I'm curious if those that have done it, what benefits they felt from it.
Thanks!

I do not think that coffee is good for you whichever end it goes in.
I have put wheatgrass shots in that end and they were completely absorbed. I can only assume that the same thing would happen to the coffee and that a large percentage of it would be absorbed. I would not want that amount of cafiene in my system.

I love coffee enemas during a fast. My experience has been that it immediately relaxed me and got rid of all detox symptoms like headache and nausea. During my last fast, I had the best sleep after a coffee enema right before bed.
When not fasting, I found that I have to do the coffee enema in the morning as I'm very sensitive to caffeine.

I learned that coffee enemas are good for the liver and people with cancer that do them have had wonderous results(along with a raw diet)
I think that the coffee may effect you though as if you were drinking it. So I do not do coffee ememas. My husband did and felt "coffee alert" afterwards.
It does something special to the liver, I can't recall right now what it is.
I am a fan of colonics after discovering the benefits for myself!

I've had several colonics and like them very much and plan to have 1 a month or so, but never had a coffee colonic. Isn't that how Robin Quivers lost tons of weight?

Several of them had told me about them, as they are part of the Gerson cancer therapy. Not that I have cancer (I had studied about it when my mother was dying of cancer) but if it can help cure cancer, it certainly can help detox a body. And yes, it was specifically targeting all the liver toxins.
The whole process just sounds really uncomfortable.... but everyone tells me otherwise. It's good to know that you all have had good results as well. I'll have to keep thinking on it. I'm just not quite there yet.
