Hi guys :)

I'm interested in going raw mainly for increased energy levels. Oh, and to improve my wretched acne, lol. I'm a university student, and I never seem to have much energy, even in the morning. I grew up in a vegetarian family, and I've been vegan since I was 14/15 (I'm 21 now), but my diet is definitely not right because I don't feel that great internally. I'm wondering what sort of cheap raw food things there are that don't really involve that much time? And are filling? I have a big appetite, and whenever I eat just vegetables/fruit, I'm hungry again within an hour.

Thanks for having me here, this site looks friendly.

bananas

seeds , grind up and incorporate into meals

and i speculate juicing alot of dark greens ,
like a 2 or 3 gallon bucket full of greens per day ,
would energize and quench appetite while
being cheap if have a good source

Lots of good EFA's....not cheap though: hempseeds, flax seeds, flaxseed oil, avocados....(I have rosacea though --NOT acne--very diff't than acne and avocados can be a trigger for rosacea, but are usually a help for acne)

Some people advocate 3 1/2 oz of good EFA's a day = 7 TBSP of oils/day.

Also, I'm sure there are many other "Acne" threads...you may want to do a search.

Good luck and welcome,

Mary Kay

Thanks for the welcome everyone.

Thanks for that stuff on EFA's Mary Kay. I had a look at the 'before and after' section (amazing lol), and it is good inspiration! ;)
