Ok so I just heard this from someone and it seems really interesting to me but there is a theory floating around out there that animals (especially those with a keen sense of smell i.e. deer) are not afraid of vegans.

The theory is that the deer can smell the non vegans like coyotes and most humans and they are afraid but they are cool with horses, other types of deer etc.

In theory this makes sense but I have never heard it. Wanted to know what you guys thought.

Thanks!

Moreso than smell, Id say it was down to the innate telepathic senses animals have.

Look at the countless stories of cats/dogs knowing thier owner is in trouble.

I know deers are not domesticated animals.

But Id say telepathy is an innate sense all creatures have, only humans have deadened theirs by a millenia of toxic, out of harmony with nature way of life.

Thoughts are things, thoughts create brainwaves which have a tangible, physical presence (albeit a subtle one). Look into the work of Masaru emoto and his messages in water study.

Its likely deer 'pickup' the sense that vegans have nothing but love and compassion for them. They feel the mother earth energy be emit from them.

I strongly get this feeling when eating cacao, I sort of tune into the soil of the earth and the universal mother/nurtering energy.

I'm not sure if that's the case but I do know that animals in the forest aren't as skittish of people who go barefoot.

I walk a trail here all Summer long with my dog. Usually I go with shoes and all the animals run away frightened. Lately I've been walking it barefoot and it's increible the difference. I almost tripped over a chipmunk today because it wasn't frightened of me!

Were you without the dog.

I never really had problem with animals, they seem to be attracted to me wild or not (small wild animal and bird), lol... But i noticed that i have no longer problem with mosquitoes. I used to have them after me so much, now they seem to stay away.

My dad would always say on my good hunting days, it was because I was a woman, smelled like one, and the animals dont anticipate females to be killers....

So yeah..I guess.

I went vegan the day after we left for vacation, when I came home, my guinea pigs loved me so much more...
I went to a farm last weekend, and a horse who was abused and thusly very shy, let me rub his cheek when it took him months to gain trust to his humans..

Also, I've also found mosquitoes dont bother me as much

I think it has more to do with the persons attitude and intentions than what s/he eats really.
Animals treat me the same way now as they did back in my teens when I was eating meat. My diet has changed a lot since then, but my attitude towards them has not.
But then again, I changed my diet because it didn't fit with who I was. Some might change who they are when they change their diet. Then I can understand the difference.

There may be some truth in it but I think the reason behind is more complicated than that. Affinity of any animal to a human being greatly depends on that person's appeal. I know a lot of persons who are like animal magnets while others are totally opposite.

Meh, not true. Stray cats love me and follow me home all the time, but them again...I may be raw but I am not vegan. However, are we talking about herbivore animals only or just animals in general?

I live in a big city so getting a deer to be my friend is highly unlikely. But then again, stray cats love me.
