Funkaaay Grapefruits

Hey Raw Food Gang,

Yes you're a gang. Anyways I got some ruby red grapefruits and when I sliced them open they were half yellow. I'm a bit worried to eat them. I tried googling it but didn't get much response. Does anyone know if this is a sign of a bad grapefruit? or is it just ripe?

I have so much to learn :/

I think that bad grapefruit smell.
If they smell ok but you are not going to enjoy them because of the appearance then juice them.

I see. I'm just use to my ruby reds being proper red and having any yellow like patches.

i would think it would be a mutation, maybe a cross pollination of red daddy and white mommy grapefruit.
