Spoof Jerky

Oh Ladies, I just made some of the best veggie jerky.
my ds who's not quiet ready to jump on the raw wagon thought it was 'real'.

I found the recipe on alton brown's food network site. and simply substituted eggplant for the 'B**F'. I also added a small sprinkling of brown sugar.

liquid smoke, pepper flakes, sea salt, shoyu, black pepper, honey (optional brown sugar)

finally used my rival slicer to make the uniform thickness, I did several different thickness to see which did the best. the med-thin has done the best.

1tsp ea. Honey, onion powder, sea salt ,garlic p, liquid smoke. 1/3c soy, 8 cranks onpepper mill, 3-4 shakes of crushed peppers. Oh could add some water I didn't have to as I only had one small ep. brown Sugar eyeballed it

Coconut sugar would work great for this.
