If it's corn, it's gmo'd ~ unless you plant organic corn yourself.

does this go for sweet corn too? i thought the corn that was GMO'ed was primarily field corn used for livestock feed or cornmeal etc.

Last I've read ~ 90% of the soybeans grown in the U.S. are GMO'd, as is 63% of the corn and that was over a year ago. My understanding, that's even higher now. Monsanto doesn't distinguish between what we eat and what they feed the pigs.

That's what I was told too. For that reason I don't eat it any longer.
Used to be one of my favorite food - fresh corn on the cob, boiled, steamed or grilled dripping with butter. :o

Unless it's labled "Non-GMO" you can safely assume it's GMO.
aw darn. no more corn for me.. I thought it was a good carb source.

I thought organic standards prohibited any and all GMO??? So that if you purchased something organic, you could know that it wasn't GMO. Did I read that wrong?
