I have a question on food prep. Many recipes call for x cups of this or that, sprouted. But when you soak them for sprouting, it turns into way more volume than the recipe calls for as they swell from soaking. Is there a standard rule whether they are talking pre-soaked volume or post-soaked volume?

I've been collecting lots of recipes and it seems to me that when they give directions to sprout in the recipe, the ingredient list is asking for pre-soaked quantities, and when they say sprouted in the ingredient list, they are asking for post-sprouted quantities.
