Hey you guys. What do you guys use to wash your teeth? I know some people using toothsoap, which is a natural soap to clean your teeth with. They say your teeth really feel clean after using it.

Thanks for the input in advance!:)

I would love to try Toothsoap, but wow it's so expensive.. maybe someday. Right now I use coconut oil. *Ü*

I use Uncle Harry's Natural Products. I've got about 6 of his tooth products, including a coconut based foaming cleanser, a clay/mint scrub, 2 different powders, and 2 oil based similiar to toothsoap. All get my teeth clean and only cost $6. Toothsoap seems like a rip-off, I don't know. Maybe I simply don't like how Toothsoap is marketed.

Yes, it's sort of expensive but it supposedly lasts a long time. I have not tried it myself. I did not know about coconut oil for your teeth!

I just use natural toothpaste. i can't stand the taste of the liquid tooth soap and the tooth powder is useless in the container it comes in

(turns off spam alarm)

My wife found us a nice natural product that is fairly local to us, by Bee Rescued, if I have the name right. It's bee propolis. I like it. I change up often, and even mix things when I brush, blending and rotating between the propolis, anise tooth powder by eco-dent, JASON fennel tooth paste, and DR. Bronners soap. :D Can you see how clean they feel? Oil pulling also seems to give them a good cleaning.

Tooth soap on its way to me soon...few days! I am excited. My son said one brushing and his teeth were amazing! It was on sale and was not expensive at all. He said it lasts a long time. I got shreds. I guess one little bit foams all up.

All toothpastes contain glycerine which prevents teeth from healing (remineralizing) properly. I had tooth problems for years and HORRIBLE sensitivity. My enamel was basically GONE, and I was told my dentists there was nothing they could do and it wouldn't come back. 6 months after I ditched the toothpaste and began using dried ground herbs to brush my teeth, all my cavities have healed and I am able to eat pineapple again-something that for years, if I ate it, would literally eat visible holes in my teeth. Now those holes have healed and thanks to lack of fluoride *the LAST thing you want, trust me*, lack of glycerine toothpastes, and healthy raw foods, I am able to eat without pain.

The toothpaste that I use does not contain glycerine.

Wow cool, thanks for that link. Is there somewhere that shows a list of ingredients? I saw the overview but not a specific list. I'd be interested in knowing more about that stuff,as I buy an ayurvedic toothpaste for my partner, but it does contain glycerine (*for him, he doesn't have teeth decay issues so I figure it's fine as long as it is fluoride free that is my main concern for him). I've never seen one that doesn't contain glycerine before, so it's cool to know there is more becoming available *or maybe I just didn't look hard enough, hehe* :)

I use Dr. Christopher's herbal tooth and gum powder, myself.

I checked my pack with the intention of listing the ingredients for you and I notice that one of them is Sodium Lauryl Sulphate and that is a baddie.
I will have to rethink.
Sometimes I think that we can not win. We try and try and big business is there to thwart us at every turn.

Check out Dr. Christopher's, it's great! The only bad thing (and I don't really consider this a bad thing) is that the green powder stains your teeth a bit, pretty much anywhere there is a cavity or weak spot in the enamel. I don't really care how this looks (*it isn't noticable unless one is examining my teeth anyway) and for me, it helped me by showing me where the problems in my teeth actually are. As the enamel heals, the stains fade.

Hi, I've used the Toothsoap before. It was good. I couldn't help but notice how similar it was to Dr. Bronner's Castile soap -- so that's what I used when I ran out and still use today.

Use a natural (bar)soap without glycerin, rub your brush on it and brush. Toothsoap is simply that liquid bar soap or shredded, either way it is just soap.

Save money and buy a bar of good quality natural soap.

Hi lovenlife ~ Do you have the brand name of one of these glycerin-free bars? I just checked where I order such things online and didn't see any without glycerin. Can you help me out? Thanks! *Ü*

A word of caution ~ Yesterday I used Dr. Bronner's liquid Hemp Almond Pure Castile Soap and within a couple seconds it was burning the inside of my bottom lip. I rinsed my mouth well, but it has actually blistered (small blisters) and made that area very irritated & sore.

I've used Dr. Bronner's before, but I'm guessing not this particular one. *Ü*
