Can I make the Date Nut Torte with Cashews?

Will it turn out just as good? Believe it or not, I could buy NO organic walnuts today at either of my two grocery stores so I bought cashews. Has anyone swapped the nut in this recipe?

Pecans would be more similar to walnuts if you could find those. It might be tasty with cashews, but would be very different.

Yes you can use cashew and even macadamian nut.

I agree that pecan is a great replacement for wall nut in term of texture.

You can make it with anything. I always made it with sunflower seeds as I thought that they were healthier than nuts.
