Hi,

Could anyone give me some cheap and easy recipes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner? I been struggling alot and eating only the same foods over and over. I sometimes feel starved too and grab like a handful of sunflower seeds, or eat like 3-4 bananas in a row really fast. I need more variety. I do green smoothies, I do a few salads, I make a chickpea soup, I do lettuce wraps that consist of the same ingredients usually. I need help! Thanks

Applesauce... <3 Especially with a bit of ginger and stevia, then add parsley to make it green. A tiny bit of banana added to it now and then is good, too.

Or... take the applesauce and throw in chopped fruit. Fruit stew. :D That can be done with pretty much any smoothie, too.

Shred some cabbage, and add in mashed avocado with your favorite seasonings. Or, instead of an avo, just use oil and vinegar/lemon. Or get sassy by using orange juice. ;)

Have you tried growing sprouts? You can buy a big cheap bag of sunflower greens and grow them easily. Video on how: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FFebyipOhTQ
Ronnie also does some other cheap recipe videos, so if you have time check 'em out.

find the best food source for sure. At my local supermarket I can spend almost three times more then my local produce stand. and you usually get more seasonal produce that is locally grown with more variety.

Then hopefully you wont have to worry so much about the budget.

I dont know if you have an aldi in your area, but we started shopping there and they have great fresh produce. For about 40 bucks, we get TONS of fruit and veggies! We save about half as we would at foodlion. :D

I love fruit puddings or anything similar. Very easy, delicious and filling. You can add nuts, seeds, avocado or coconut to make even more dense.

Apple Chowder
Apple, chopped
1-2 Bananas
Optional: Dash Cinnamon, Greens, Sweetener
Blend. If no blender, chop fruit & mix.

One of my new favorites:

Smothered Zucchini Pasta
Zucchini Pasta Strips/noodles
Tomatoes, chopped (works best w/very flavorful tomatoes like grape or cherry)
Optional: Dash salt or spices
Smother pasta w/tomatoes.

I know many don't agree but I buy reduced produce at the g store. It's been marked down that day. I keep it in green bags or freeze. They just have a soft spot. I can get organic avocados for .33 each. They have to eaten quickly..I make salsa or just eat it. I would think in SC you'd have more access to fresh things. Talk to local farmers, vendors..you may be able to trade out especially if you find some quick easy things to make for people to sample from their stand for a few hours, they may give you food. I love an orange/avocado salad with a lime dressing. The secret is pinch of salt and cardomon!
