hello my raw brethren. My name is Kyle and I'm planning on transitioning from mostly raw to 95-100% raw. Currently I do smoothies and juices, lots of fresh fruit. Salads!. Only issue is my diet is pretty bland right now. I need more variety. I ordered a dehydrator, excalibur, that should arrive tomorrow maybe. Planning on 'cooking' up a whole cornucopia of goodies. I am also a cross country runner at my school so I need lots of energy daily. I've been eating some peanut butter before runs but I'm looking for a raw alternative that won't slow me down. I'm actually really skinny too. 6' 2" at about 140. I just got 3 lbs of hemp protein powder and am trying to find a way to eat it! Any other high protein food suggestions would be appreciated. I really need to put some meat on these bones, people keep worrying about me. Anyway, looking forward to traveling through the world of raw with you all.

forgot to mention that one of the main reasons I've researched health so much is because I wanted to cure my acne naturally. I've had moderate acne for about 3 years now and haven't seen much improvement. I'm hoping adding more variety to my diet will help. I've even tried juicing dandelion greens but gave up after a few days. I couldn't stomach the bitterness of it xP

Almond and cashew milk shakes with banana and I guess your hemp powder.

Protein helps to burn stored fat so not sure if you'll bulk up unless you get real serious with you muscle work and up the calories considering your running,

You also sound like a good candidate for Alissa's books. Consider here savory desserts for breakfast.

Well aside from the run, my team does core and 100 pushups after practice. After the season's over I'll probably hit the gym a few days/week. I've tried making almond milk but I really don't have the tools for it yet. Crappy blenders and coffee filters just don't work xD I'll have to invest in a better blender and nut milk bag.

Welcome! :D

I'm in my 50's and still battle acne. It wasn't until I started eating raw and upping my water intake, did I begin to see a vast improvement. I'm starting my 10th week of eating 99.8% - 100% Raw tomorrow. I drink 1/2 my body weight in water daily (which, unfortunately is alot :().

Since you run and other things, I'm curious to hear how much good water you drink. Do tell! If you aren't drinking enough, dehydration can aggravate skin problems as well.

Well I'm definitely not drinking 70 oz every day. I think I'm going to start drinking a lot more now. Currently I have some kind of bug so I've been drinking about 64 oz, half gallon, daily. It's distilled so it goes through me like none other. I wasn't drinking anywhere near that before so I'll be curious to see what happens. Will make sure to update.
