I have read in almost every raw book, including Alyssa's that almost everyone loses weight within the first week of raw ... I have not. Feeling bummed. I am not eating very many nuts, about 3 avocados this week, lots of salad, fruit, smoothies. Slipped twice in 6 days. Ho hum.

Every "body" is different. Six days is not 6 weeks; I would be concerned if this was several weeks and no weight loss.
I came by the way of Raw eating due to doing a full body detox with herbs and a required raw diet and distilled water. It was 20 days and I didn't begin to lose weight until the 2nd week and then it slowly melted away to a 15 lb. reduction.
I ate at least one avocado a day and many nuts and seed along with a HUGE leafy green salad with vegetables at lunch and dinner. Drink 1/2 your body weight (in oz.) of good, clean water (filtered/purified) a day as well.
Keep going. Don't give up.

Try to overcome all the conditioning you've had during your life about instantaneous gratification and results.
These days, people get a headache, take a pill and the headache goes away, get a cold, take some medication and it goes away etc. etc. in all aspects of our lives.
In the example above and in a lot instances in all parts of our lives, this 'instant gratification' is nothing more than getting rid of the symptoms that indicate the real cause of the problem.
Losing weight, REAL loss of weight takes time. The initial weight loss many people experience in the first couple of weeks is mainly due to water loss, getting rid of retained water.
6 days is nothing in the scheme of things, and when you realise this you'll laugh one day about expecting so much so soon!
Stick with raw, and eat healthy, and the weight will come off.
p.s. if you've slipped up during the 6 days, depending on what you ate, you may have 'reset the clock' so to speak each time you did this, so it may be that you need to go 6 days all raw to experience results.
But relax about it. The weight will come off, and remember, you are not the number on your scales or the dress size you wear. :)

as alissa says, "it's not the raw you are eating that stops weight release... it's what you are eating that isn't raw!"

Thanks everyone. I had a few bites of cooked pad thai and some balsamic vinegar, other than that I have been very good. I will try to be patient. I have noticed a slight increase in energy which is really my goal. To have more energy for the kids.

Good on you, we all need to cultivate patience from time to time, me in a lot of areas!
I have more energy than my kid these days. :)

Takes time for your body to adjust.
