Hi there
I love me some salsa and want to make some
it's great with zuccini or on my salads.
anyone got some good recipes?
I want the traditional, tomato salsa
no mango, beans, or pineapple
and I like my salsa hot
so I was wondering if I could use jalepeno or habanero
are the seeds bad for digestion?
Cause they're the spiciest part.
Same with guacamole.
Thanks.

If you think about it - your recipe for salsa is probably a perfect raw recipe. Think about it: tomato, onion, peppers and spices. I don't see any problems.
Same with guac. The perfect raw food!! Dip veggies or some raw corn chips and it doesn't get any better than that!

This is how I make my guacamole:
1/2 roma tomato
1/4" slice of sweet onion
2 avocados
1/2 lime
dash salt
Pulse tomato and onion in food processor until they're in small pieces. Alternatively, you can just chop them finely.
Mash two avocados in a bowl, leaving small chunks if desired. Stir in tomato and onion and squeeze in 1/2 lime. Add sea salt (I just use a sprinkle) to desired flavor. Stir well and enjoy.
Note: If you don't finish it all and need to store it, place the avocado pit in the bowl with the guacamole, and it will keep it from turning icky colors. Then just cover it tightly and store in the refrigerator.

Last I checked "spicy" was good for the metabolism, no? Isn't cayenne an integral part of the master cleanse?

I make a salsa with these ingredients:
6-8 tomatoes
1 jalapeno
half a yellow onion
half a bunch of cilantro
1/4 cup lemon juice
few dashes of salt
Its not really spicy but its tasty. You can tweek it how you like, add more jalapeno or spicier peppers if you want. You can add more/less lemon and salt to fit your taste too. I throw all this in a blender and hit puree, comes out a little chunky. This makes a decent size of salsa. Scale it down if you want less.
