yes, he's moving towards raw with no help from me. my 10 yr old ds, who after about a wk decided that he didn't like eating raw. so he was back SAD, with a twist I no longer purchases chips, candies, etc. for him unless he goes shopping with me then he can chose one item only.
yesterday we went shopping and he wanted some sweet heat chips (these are very spicy hence him liking them he has high tolerance for things like this). well when he does open the bag he bites into a chip and tells me 'it doesn't taste good' then he proceeded to flip through and find a 'fold over' chip (that's the ones I used to like to nosh on) and I nibbled on it just enough to taste really- my goodness it was terrible, smelled nasty, and all I could think was that it was the oil that wafted up from the bag and now I could smell it as well as taste it with my nice clean taste buds.
he's asking for salad for his lunch now. ;) one dish at a time is becoming one of my new mantra's with him.

that is so cool. I know what you mean I feel the same way things that I use to love just taste nasty.

I wish I could get my sons on this. My oldest tries everything I make but eats SAD and my youngest who needs this the most bulks at tasting which is so the opposite of what he does. But I make him try it anyways LOL. Oh well, one day at a time and just leading by example will one day have him asking me about what I do.

When I started raw I knew it would be hard to not buy the usual foods at the store so as a family we sat and talked about it and how certain items would be
off my shopping list. The first two wks I let nothing but fruit veggie come tjroughmy door, now that I Know I can resist I've been letting both children pick one thing and if I deem it N/A they get to choose from their alt list.

Could you slowly cease buying the "favorite" snack foods? I'm finding that this helped w my son. It may help yours also
