Do anyone else's taste buds occasionally go nuts? Not hypersensitive kind of nuts, but like everything you eat for a day or two tastes the same or has a really weird aftertaste. This is the second time since going raw that my taste buds turn weird on me and everything I put in my mouth tastes vaguely like gasoline.
Not that I know what gasoline tastes like, but I'd imagine it tastes like this. Very unpleasant.

wow I haven't experienced this but I do know my taste buds have changed. Things that I hated in the past I now love.
I hope someone here can help you with that.
I was wondering the same thing. my dd who along with myself has been going raw since 8/15, she's been eating plums, nectarines, apples, pluiots, grapes now she's saying that they no longer taste good so we are moving to veggies carrots, celery, cucumbers, I think it's because her body has used them to the advantage of cleaning or pulling what nutrients her body needs and now its tell her/us that it's wanting something else.

Every once in a while I get that over-ripe mango (wish I could pick a good one) and it oddly tastes like shellack (sp?)....not that I've tasted it either. But just that off taste.

I had that problem with watermelon earlier today. Just didn't taste right!

LOL, it's good to know I'm not going crazy then. :D
So it might just be the body telling me to switch it up to get what I need?

This is almost definitely what's happening, although it could be non-organic foods, especially if it's a chemical-like taste.

Unfortunately I can't afford organic foods atm, they're just above and beyond my budget. Even when I'm reguarly employed, they're too pricey. Which is just ridiculous given how much of this country is farm land... but there you go.
But I'll try to concentrate on green smoothies for a while and see if things improve. No almonds today and already most things are tasting less... um.. tin-cannish.
