Hello,
I was wondering what king of probiotic powder should I use when making raw cheese? Does it matter if it is the kind that needs to be refrigerated or not? Or does anybody have a particular brand that they recommend over another that is reasonably priced.
Thanks

I got a nut cheese recipe that calls for a tbs of rejuvelac. Could I skip that and use probiotic powder from a pill instead?

I made a cheese out of 1 cup cashew, 1 cup almonds, 1 cup pine nuts. I processed all the nuts, and added about 1 1/2 teaspoon of probiotics. I mixed it well and have it sitting out. Should I add water or have I done everything right?

Victoria Boutenko has a wonderful recipe for fermented almond cheese, look for it on the Internet!

I do add water to make a smoother consistancy and drain overnight through a mesh bag to remove the "whey" I don't see how it would be smooth without any liquid. I can send you a sample recipe if you like.

Although I have not used this I would definitely give this a TRY-Bluebonnet Milk-Free Acidophilus plus FOS vegetarian brand probiotic capsules. Joyce from our site uses this brand with great success and you can’t beat the price.
