Hi Friends,
Just a quick "G'day" from me, and an introduction.
I am a busy homeschooling Aussie Mum with 8 kids, who is now finally taking the raw food lifestyle seriously!
I enjoyed the raw food way of life about 7 years ago, for approximately 18 months. At that time I was blessed to find that I was pregnant with baby no. 6, and unfortunately I developed gestational diabetes. The drs. put me straight onto insulin injections to which I then needed to take on plenty of carbs - needless to say this threw a spanner into the raw food works!
Since then I have been gratifying myself with a SAD diet, and in April of this year, I was diagnosed with bladder cancer.
A tumour was removed, and 12 weeks later my second surgery revealed a second tumour had grown in this short time, and they have deemed it aggressive. It is however (so far) contained inside the bladder, which means it should not have spread, but the best thing the drs. can do is to put me under anaesthetic and check inside my bladder every 12 weeks for the next year to try and stop the tumours from growing through my bladder wall. THAT is the best they can offer me! Not ONE dr. has discussed nutrition with me.
I decided, after the pain becoming a daily issue, that I could not take the morphine they prescribed, and only go downhill as my health crisis was made an into another medical asset for them!
I knew that the best thing I could do was help my body fight this cancer itself, and get my immune system back on track by starting a massive detox program with the ongoing conversion back to 100% raw.
I am now only 14 days into a total juice fast, with weekly colonics with my naturapath, and some powerful cancer-fightiing herbs like Graviola, Catsclaw, Essiac tea, and apricot kernels.
I already feel on top of the world, have my energy back, all but a mild occasional bladder pain, thinking clearly, and have lost 3kgs!
I know I will now be able to have a greater chance at beating this, if not totally curing myself of it!
I am a born again Christian, and primarily trust and know that in God's gracious hands am I! He gave us all of this beautiful natural food to enjoy, and to return to that is such a blessing!
Thankyou for creating this forum...I know this will be of great encouragement to me and many others. I also look forward to the wealth of wisdom to be found in the experiences of veteran raw foodies!
Thankyou
