View Full Version : 3 Weeks In!
09-07-2010, 08:55 PM
Hi All! I've been a vegetarian since childhood and have finally made my way to the raw world about 3 weeks ago. It has been amazing so far and I'm excited to keep going!
I started out about 90-95% raw and I'm working my way to 100%, but I knew I wanted to keep my tea and my morning smoothie (has small amounts of apple juice in it) while I adjusted to the new plan.
On the non-food side of things... I'm Chicago born and raised, but recently moved to the Appalachian Mountains so I could be near the trail and hiking.
Anyway, just wanted to say hi!

apple juice can totally be made raw and many raw foodies have tea. ;)

Aleesha - raw apple juice sounds fabulous, after a little google action I found a woman just outside of town who runs an orchard and has raw apple juice (and it's affordable!). Thanks for opening my eyes and keeping the smoothies alive!
Sport - thanks!! It's fun!

You can also make your own apple juice with a juicer! :)
Just something to think about in the future.....it will pay for itself, instead of buying the pre-made juice ;)
Then you could do a lot of different juices if you choose to!

great idea! why not get apples from the orchard instead of the juice. we already have the juicer (it's old but it works!) so time to get juicin' :D
thanks for the ideas - im still adjusting to my new raw mindset and each day i realize yet another thing i can simplify and make on my own - love it!

You will find lots of support and great advice here on RFT.
The very best apple juice (IMHO :p) is fresh out of your own juicer. If you start making juice, try apple-kale - unbelievably delicious!

revdrcyn - that is a fabulous idea! I love kale so much, I bet that would be delicious. I actually just juiced a couple of pounds of apples tonight and it is sooooo good :D
