Welcome welcome welcome!!!

Today is Day 13 of the 30 day challenge.

If you haven't already... please take a moment to read the posting rules/guidelines (http://www.rawfoodtalk.com/announcement.php?a=3) of this section. Thanks!

Welcome to the Monthly Raw Challenge!

We're excited about this new area of the forum that is specifically for those of you who are eager to commit to a month of eating 100% raw foods and seeing miraculous results!

WE (one of the moderators) will start a new challenge thread on the first of every month.

We want the focus of these monthly challenge threads to be on staying raw and accountability. Therefore, if you have eaten all raw and then slip up and have something cooked, we don’t want you to beat yourself up over it or dwell on it, but this is not space to discuss it. You are more than welcome to document it in your journal/blog or ask for help in the discussion area, but it is not necessary (and not allowed) to discuss your slip-up here in the challenge threads, just get right back on track and keep going!

In the event that you feel you are not quite ready to fully commit to the challenge and you find yourself having slip-ups often, then please join us again during the following month. Of course you are still more than welcome to participate on other parts of the forum, but we would really like to keep this section dedicated to those who are committed to doing 30 days 100% raw.

Peace, Blessings and Warmest Regards,

Cherie

still going strong (a couple of minor blips but they were choices I made due to circumstances, not uncontrollable urges. Yea me! Now THAT'S progress! LOL!)

Today I am going to juice for a day or two, or whatever my body leads me to do. I am under a ton of stress right now, so juicing just makes a lot of sense. I am usu. much calmer and can't "stress eat" when I am juicing. Juicing also frees up my time and brain space since I'm not in the kitchen making recipes several times a day.

I am going to make some watermelon gingerade, and add some carrots and beets to my fresh pressed OJ.

I started a few days late so I am more like day 10 but I want to join the thread/challenge.

*Fruit Smoothie
(containing "papaya, oranges, pineapple, strawberries, frozen banana, fresh mint")
*Almonds, dried organic cherries
*Kiwi
*Cabbage salad with carrots, peppers, peanuts and Raw ACV.
*Fruit Smoothie "same as above"
*Tomato, onion, fresh basil salad with olive oil, salt, and pepper.

This is my first time trying RAW and I must say, at times it is a challenge for sure but I feel light, healthy and happy.

Zaphirah - Good Job! Glad to hear you are able to stay on track. I like your idea of juicing when you are stressed, I'll keep that in mind as things start picking up at work, which will start to stress me out.

JCB44 - Sorry to hear you had difficulties with this. I look forward to seeing you back in the challenge in October as I plan to continue participating in this challenge next month too.

Thank you ladies!

RawHorizons ... what is your recipe for raw V8 and the banana ice cream, is that Alissa's recipe? I was looking at that. I want to try an ice cream but am not sure which one to try first. Would love to make a chocolate one.

I really need to get a dehydrator but I am waiting until October.

Great menus everyone!

Thanks RawHorizons! I will definitely look into that V8 juice.

I did make a banana chocolate shake this morning, post work out. It was delicious!! 1 frozen banana, 1 tbsp. raw cocoa and just enough almond milk to get the blender going ... delicious!! I will try it again and throw everything into my ice cream maker next time to see how that is.

Hope you are having a great day! Thanks again for the link.
