For those of you who alter your diet after full raw:

After you've reached your goal weight, how do you maintain your
goal weight?

i.e., does it sound possible if you are raw til dinner, then healthy & balanced for dinner and any dessert?

i'm not sure you'll find anyone here to answer this one for you since we are a raw food board not a cooked and raw food board.

guess you'll just have to try things for yourself and see what your body says???

but i can't imagine eating a cooked SAD dessert every night and still maintaining your weight regardless of what else you eat daily.

After being raw for a year, I have absolutely no desire to include cooked food in my diet. Nothing tastes as good as raw food, and nothing feels as good.

Yeah a cooked sad dessert every night sounds out of it.

I'm thinking raw blueberries really for dessert...

Correction:

I guess I should clarify what I mean for dinner -- adding cooked chicken, beef fish or egg to hot vegetables and salad, all else raw.

... and you're probably not going to find an answer to the modified question either since it's a vegan board. Sorry.

You've brought up the animal-based products on more than one thread now and seem unhappy with just eating raw vegan, so it might be worth it for you personally to look into some other form of diet adjusting, at least at first.

I agree with the post above me.
It seems like you're not happy with the diet. I mean what's your goal: to eat raw or to lose weight? If you want to lose/maintain weight, you don't have to eat raw, you can still just eat healthier foods and exercise. Then allow yourself either some healthy dessert or maybe allow yourself to have dessert a few nights a week in moderation.

There are people who manage to be raw 90 or 95% of the time and maintain their weight.
However, usually the cooked food they do add on occasion are vegan (steamed veggies or some rice)...

It sounds to me as though you're just looking at this a just another weight loss diet. Get down to you ideal weight, then go ahead and eat whatever. This is a lifestyle change for health. Yes, most do eliminate excess weight; many come to it to eliminate excess weight yet, many find, by the time they get to where they want to be weight-wise, they feel so good they don't want to change.

As has been said ~ this is not the place to talk about eating dead animal carcasses.

You may want to read the Mission Statement and Rules for Posting. This may not be the place for you.
