All my peaches taste like Yardley's Lavendar Soap. I left them in the bag on the counter to ripen, not realizing that the fragrant soap was in the bottom. Now they are have a soapy taste to them. I was thinking of juicing them but all I have are grapes and apples to go with. Maybe a peach green smoothie? I dunno. anyone have any ideas on how to rescue 10 lbs of peaches?

:(
Peach smoothies are delish! I make 'em with chard or kale and orange juice.
Maybe if you set the peaches out to continue ripening the smell will go away or be reduced.

This goes to demonstrate that the fruit takes in things from anything in close proximity. I am so glad that I live in a house where there is never any meat in the fridge.

good point sport. My dog eats raw (not vegan) and it scares me to have it anywhere NEAR my stuff. LOL!

Diluted food grade peroxide or vinegar may help.

Perhaps put them in a bag with some bicarb soda (baking powder). Baking powder removes odours and would probably remove tastes as well if given enough time.
Also, lemon juice is good at masking taste, you could add this to your smoothies.
