Today's menu will be:
raw bar
watermenlon gingerade
grapes
salad
apples, raisins, cinnamon, and coconut

Today is Fair Day with the kiddos, so I have to pack qick and easy things to tote around.
Weighed myself this morn (only do it 1x a week) and I am down 6 lbs. :) )

I am feeling good today.
Whipped up some raw ricotta "cheese" spread and some spiced pistacio/almonds are in the dehydrator.
I also started sprouting some alfalfa and almonds and even some quinoa (attempting to make some rejuvelac for my stomach issues)
My menu plans for the day are:
B-green lemonade and green smoothie (sunflower greens, rasp, apple)
L-tomato slices (I bought this amazing heirloom), ricotta spread, and raw crackers
D- bok choy salad with cilantro, tomato, avo, and this yummy dressing I made last night (tahini, honey, apple cider vinegar, olive oil, oregano, paprika, and salt)
With all this yummy food, how can I go wrong!

had trouble yesterday and this morning. I'm craving way-too-sugary and gross pastries :(
made raw pudding a couple days ago, that satiated my sweet tooth, but alas I'm outta money for expensive sweet raw items.
Sometimes it seems so much easier to give in and eat something even if I feel gross afterwards. *sigh*.
This evening I finally made this: http://www.raw-food-diet-inspiration.com/raw-cauliflower-recipe.html
It actually turned out satisfactory, even kinda good -- to me this tastes like a good taco filling. I think it might be interesting to try it with some chips. At a first glance it looks like glorified guacamole. Then while you're making it -- the AVO recipe looks and tastes like you're not sure if this is going to work. But all in all (minus the sweet stuff and using chili powder plus basil in replacement of the spices) it is quite good, I'm heating mine now in the dehydrator.
Today I've had more hunger issues -- I think it's because I've been exposed to more "cooked food smells" today and I think those smells trigger my body to want to eat. This is all definitely very interesting and quite intriguing to be honest -- intriguing as to how the body works in that it seems that delicious smells of hot foods trigger hunger.
Well -- I'm off and hope to have a heated blueberry & peach treat later warmed from the dehydrator.

Belladonna - I know how you feel, been there, done that. :) Through my raw food journey, I've learned that anything with refined sugars and processed starches are really, really bad for you and are extremely addictive. Sugars were particularly difficult for me to get away from. Are there any fruits in season that will satisfy your sweet tooth? How about a sweet fruit smoothie?
I started with my usual warm water with lemon juice, sea salt, and honey
"Chocolate" smoothie
green smoothie
Lara bar
asian salad
stuffed green peppers
raw corn salad
watermelon
