I'm trying to replicate, or at least replace, my favorite cooked veggie pate. The thing I love about it is the really dense texture it has because it has been baked. Do you think I could replicate this texture by putting raw pate in the dehydrator? I don't want the edges to get crispy though, and I'm not sure how to avoid that. Anyone tried this before or have a better idea for getting really solid pate?

Can't tell you for sure as I have never had baked pate, but the Mock Salmon Pate is REALLY good, doesn't taste like I remember salmon tasting at all. If you leave it in the fridge overnight, it gets pretty dense. But not having had the baked version, I dunno if it's close or not.

The raw pates I've tried seemed pretty dense to me. The recipes I've tried use avocados and sunflower seeds.
What's in your veggie pate recipe?
