Anybody interested in eating raw foods that were/are available in the regions your ancestors came from? I am, but have no knowledge about wild plants available in Europe (both western and eastern), where my family is from.

Does anyone have any helpful links?

If you had to live wild in Ireland it would be the safest place in the world from the point of view of predators but the least safe from the point of view of forrage. We have no animal or insect that will cause you harm. Maybe someone made an agreement with them that allows them to have all the harvest if they leave us alone. We have wild blackberries in season but you would have to seek for a while to get enough for a meal. Maybe there is stuf that I do not know of but I can assure you that it is not much.

My mother's parents came from eastern Europe and I grew up going into the woods in northeastern Pennsylvania in the Fall with my mom to search for wild edible mushrooms. YUMMY!!!!!
